Northwest Water Treatment is a family-owned water treatment company founded in 1996. Its website gives an address in Orting, in Pierce County, and a billing address in Lacey. Besides private and community wells, it designs systems for commercial and industrial plants and seawater filtration for aquaculture.
Well water treatment. The company says its specialty is removing iron, manganese, sulfur, arsenic and bacteria from residential and community well water. Systems may include water softeners, media and cartridge filters, carbon filters, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection and chemical feed equipment. It also treats low-pH water that corrodes copper pipes, and brackish (salty) wells.
How it works. A technician visits to analyze the well water with a portable lab and inspect the existing water and plumbing system. The company then sends a written fixed-fee quote for a custom-designed system, typically within two business days. It also offers maintenance, repairs, warranty work and replacement filters, and says it services systems installed by Clean Water Northwest, which has closed.
Community systems. For community water systems that do not meet Department of Health requirements, it designs treatment that can be installed in the pump house.
Where it works. Its residential service area names western Washington communities including Auburn, Black Diamond, Bonney Lake, Buckley, Eatonville, Enumclaw, Gig Harbor, Graham, Kent, Maple Valley, Olympia, Orting, Puyallup, Roy, Spanaway, Tacoma and Yelm. L&I lists a contractor registration with the water conditioning equipment specialty. The company does not describe pump work.
