Dahlman Pump & Well Drilling is a family-owned company in Bow, in Skagit County. It says it has served northwest Washington since 1950. It drills water wells 6 to 14 inches in diameter to depths of up to 1,000 feet, mostly with steel casing, using two air rotary rigs. Its services page also lists well abandonment (decommissioning), aquifer analysis, dewatering, monitoring and geotechnical drilling, and cathodic protection wells.

Pumps. The company installs and services submersible pumps, shallow- and deep-well jet pumps, in-line turbine and centrifugal pumps. It sizes the pump and pressure tank after a new well is drilled. It says it stocks more than fifty pumps, from brands including Goulds, Berkeley, Sta-Rite, Red Jacket, Flint & Walling and J-Class.

Water filtration. For water quality problems, Dahlman sends a water sample to a laboratory and designs a treatment system with water treatment engineers. It guarantees the filtration equipment it installs.

Staff and licensing. The company says it has three state-licensed pump installers and a journeyman electrician, and that the National Ground Water Association has certified three of its drillers and three of its pump installers. Ecology’s driller search lists three operators at the company, each holding both water well and resource protection licenses. L&I lists general contractor, electrical (pump and irrigation) and plumbing (pump and irrigation) registrations.

Where it works. Its service-area list names towns in Island, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties, and the company says it serves western Washington to the Canadian border. It runs a retail store in Bow, open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
