Carpenter Drilling is a drilling contractor in Benton City, in Benton County, founded in 1995. Its website says its main focus is core drilling, water well drilling, and well maintenance, restoration and repair. Much of the work it describes is commercial and government: core drilling for mining projects in Nevada and other western states, and monitoring and water wells at the Hanford site.
Water wells. For new wells, the company lists 6- to 24-inch holes, setting surface casing for air rigs down to the basalt, running liners and setting screens in alluvial wells. Its restoration services include chemically treating screens to improve production, fishing out airlines, pumps and debris, pulling 6- to 16-inch casing, and perforating casing to increase flow or to plug and abandon wells. It also cleans out existing wells, including bridges and rocks blocking the aquifer, and helps owners set up a well maintenance schedule.
Licensing. Ecology’s driller search lists five operators at the company, most holding both water well and resource protection licenses. L&I lists a general contractor registration. The company’s website is served over plain http, so this listing cites archived copies of its pages.
