Arcadia Drilling is a family-owned water well company based just outside Shelton, in Mason County. It says it was established in 1962 and has been owned by the same family since 1983. Its office is at 21 W Westfield Court.
Drilling. The company drills residential, agricultural and commercial water wells, mainly with air rotary rigs, and also describes cable tool drilling for sites where larger equipment can’t fit. It says its staff help with well siting and state and county setback rules.
Pumps and pressure systems. Arcadia installs submersible pumps, jet pumps (mainly for low-production wells, storage tanks or boosting water over long distances) and hand pumps for backup water. It sets up standard pressure tank systems and variable frequency drive (VFD) constant-pressure systems, including a below-ground “complete onsite water system” with the controls at the wellhead.
Service and repair. Its service page covers pump, control box and pressure tank troubleshooting and repair, well disinfection and water sampling for permits, loans and water quality questions. It also offers a “brush and bail” that scrubs scale and iron from the well casing, and well decommissioning under Ecology rules.
Where it works. The company lists Mason, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Kitsap, Lewis, Pacific, Jefferson, Pierce and King counties.
Licensing. Ecology’s driller search lists three operators with active water well licenses at the company, one of whom also holds a resource protection license. L&I lists general contractor, plumbing (pump and irrigation) and electrical (pump and irrigation) registrations.
